Fishynos72 - October 27th, 2011 at 09:19 PM

Hi everyone,

I know this sort of post will annoy a lot of people but I thought it'd be worth it, just so i save money on shipping

I'm after the tools to fill this tool kit I recently acquired

Now I know I could buy all the tools New old stock for $200 each on eBay, but I can't afford anything like that, I'm after any Hazet tool for this kit, no matter what the condition.

any info on where i can find the tools is also greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

yr best bet is Ebay or Samba

Ive seen all the tools come up at one stage or another BUT it will cost you

Probally better off buying a complete box on Samba when they come up and re selling the one above

Fishynos72 - October 28th, 2011 at 01:40 PM

Yeah I've been watching both like a hawk :ninja:, I just thought I'd ask if anyone locally had some. The samba is and expensive place, it pays to make friends with the sellers first :spin:

heres some links to the tools you need

as i said before it may work out cheaper to buy a complete box by the prices above

Fishynos72 - November 1st, 2011 at 05:40 PM

Thanks for the links, but like i said that stuff is way out of my price range. I'm more than happy to settle for fakes/copies of the tools until I win the lotto

vw54 - November 1st, 2011 at 06:09 PM

u will PAY the same price

I have done this before

BUGBOY - November 1st, 2011 at 07:54 PM

I have a spare wheel brace.

Fishynos72 - November 1st, 2011 at 08:07 PM

A pm will be comming your way!

btw are you on the samba with the 48 standard beetle?

vlad01 - November 2nd, 2011 at 01:25 PM

mmmm? I don't get it? why are they so expensive for what looks like children's tools? collectables?

Fishynos72 - November 2nd, 2011 at 02:26 PM

they're very good quality and quite sought after, crazy collectors drive the cost up

vw54 - November 2nd, 2011 at 07:28 PM

you should have been buying them 10 or more years ago TWICE the price they are today

Fishynos72 - November 2nd, 2011 at 08:25 PM

yeah? i wouldn't have thought so, i thought you'd be able to pick them up at markets for cheap, thrown in amongst the other spanners

flying 58 - November 2nd, 2011 at 09:24 PM

Don't give up hope
I picked up at least half a kits worth of tools for less than 20 bucks
Less than a month ago
Bottom of a box and the guy had no idea
They are still out there keep looking

yeah ive been looking in MARKETS for the past 30 or so years aint found one yet

Fishynos72 - November 3rd, 2011 at 06:51 AM

Hmm, o well i suppose it doesn't hurt to look, there are plenty of stories of people getting complete kits for $50 because someone didn't know what they are worth

Volksdaze - November 3rd, 2011 at 07:09 AM

most of the tools are still available brand new

Some of the tools are similar but still different
