Hi i have a 1600cc gearbox out of my 1973 kombi. Would that be better suited? all you'd need to change to make it a beetle one would be the cone. let me know what you think.

Hey Mate I have a gearbox attached to a Lbug pan located up near Maleny if you are interested. I was told the box was good though I have not personally verified this.

PS As per the second hand beetle gearboxes out of beetles, they will have a type I nosecone (as do the boxes we have in stock) so you need to factor in a type 2 nose cone and possibly hockey stick to fit into your splitty.
