That's a pity, Ben, 14" is not much good to me - they won't fit over the 356 drums..........yes, I now have some nice STRONG drums on No. 8 Beetle.

Where are the flames?

whatnow - January 22nd, 2012 at 10:40 AM

greg is this the same no 8 from the 60's or another car with the same number?

either way it's excellent to see someone from back in the day still at it. have you ever thought of recording your stories?

Different car, same number........and same driver, [only older].

Never really thought about recording stories, Henry. Could do, if anyone would be interested.

Cheers, Greg

please do greg. it is the kind of stuff that should be kept for future vw heads.

the cars we play with now are old but you were doing it when they were new. when the tuning gear was basically non existant and from what i have seen/read you raced in some of the big name races etc.

i know i would love to pick your brains as some stage regarding a heap of 6V set up and prep stuff. plus to get some more details on a variety of australian tuning parts.

henry.
