Hi Brandon,
I sent one set over to a fellow about a year ago...
didn't charge him anything... but it cost about $80US postage back then....
the RHD pedals do NOT wear out like LHD pedals...
WE have long shafts instead of short shafts that wear out..
I don't have a set of pedals now but many people would have them... as I said, Ours don't wear out... lol
so they aren't thrown away... lol
cheers

That price would be awesome!!!
Shipping is between $80-$90 USD so it hasn't changed much. I would so love to get my hands on a "no charge" set. I have parts up FS/trade
Let me know what anyone might need that is hard to find your way.
Thank you so much for your time
Brandon

Someone else may be able to confirm but, are the pedals for the mid sixties beetles the same as the later ones (68 -72). I have only ever had the
later ones so don't really know.

There for my 66' beetle. But from my research they should work mid 60's up into the later years. Plus the later ones are stronger. I just need a
complete set for my RHD rat rod.
Yogie - March 1st, 2012 at 01:59 PM
If they fit, I am pretty sure I have a spare set. I will check over the weekend for you and let you know.
Also, there is a flat bar that welds to the floor to reinforce the strength there for the pedals. I don't have one of them available but you should
be able to make one out of thick plate. On top of that, there is a nut welded on the underside of the pan for the bolt to go through that holds the
tension on the clutch return spring.
Have you seen these and do you need any measurements to help locate them on your pan?

This is an interesting point.
Our pedals are the same'57 - '67 , these are the cast style. The later pressed metal style fit '68 >. the clutch tube is in a different spot in
the tunnel so it is necessary to have the correct set. If your bug is a US '66 model, my guess is it's the later style you need. Maybe you can
measure the depth of the clutch cable tube from the side of the tunnel in your pan.
57 Chook Shed - March 1st, 2012 at 10:45 PM
You'll also need the rhd accelerator (gas) pedal as its different, also you'll need the hinge part of the pedal that welds to the floor (lhd mounts
to the casting on the pedal assembly), you'll also need to weld captive nuts in the rh side of the tunnel, either side of the new hole you'll have
to cut for the pedals. You also need a rhd pitman arm on the steering box and a rhd speedo cable.
The small plate that was mentioned in a previous post is the pedal stop plate, nothing to do with the spring.
Graham.

I've found several RHD gas pedals here in the states reasonable. I cut a pedal mount section out of a old pan so I was gonna graph it in.

vdubbles24, I have sent you a PM
