I thought I'd throw this up as an EOI. I'm nearly ready to put the 1600TP in my Bug, and the 1200 will be coming out.

Its the original 40 horse 1200 from my 64 Beetle. Runs well, and has been serviced by GC VeeDub. It recently had a carby rebuild at Christmas, and a New dizzy, leads, and plugs a couple months before that.
GC Veedub were quite impressed with how well it went for a 1200, and think that it may have had 1300 pistons & barrels in it at some stage. It will be a complete motor as you see, minus flywheel and clutch (unless I don't use it).
Muffler has a leak where it joins one of the heater boxes, so that will need to be looked at, otherwise it's good to go.

Anyways, I thought I'd get it out there now, as I should finish putting the new motor together in a week or 2, and need some cash towards getting them swapped over.

The motor is still in the car and driven every day, so you can come take a look and even take it for a spin.

Engine can be viewed at Ashmore during the day, or Pacific Pines after hours/weekends.

Pickup of the motor will most likely be from Gold Coast Veedub at Labrador, unless something else can be arranged, and I can get the motor home.
