Hey guys I have recently purchased a 1962 vw beetle it has minimal rust and the body is in decent shape. It currently has a 1300 engine in it, i think it has seen better days. Anyway i'm just looking for front and rear bumpers, indicator covers, original seats and the original exhaust system.

awesome i'll have a look at it tomorrow when i get it back from the auto electrician. Do you guys know anyone who restores vintage steering wheels? I bought one from ebay and it came with a few cracks in it.

This is it. I have only had it for two weeks now

So far i have pulled the interior out (it was carpet glues to chip board), pulled the seats out and got rid of the surface rust on the floor and treated it, covered the door cards in black vinyl, re wired the car because someone stuffed around with the wires, got a new starter motor, hub caps, sound system and removed the fog lights. She's a bit of a bitsa but the engine is pretty sweet and goes 110 on the freeway.

I saw this car ages ago, wondered what had happened to it and now I know what did happen.

Yeah i got it for a steal 1500 it said on the rego papers it's a 62. the interior was pretty bad when i first got it and it had to be push started... it's all fixed now . originally they wanted 2200 for it.

Yeah found it at algate, i have so much i want to do to it. It has torana tail lights at the moment and i want them gone, they look like crap. I'll post some more pics when i get it back tomorrow and thanks i probably need help haha

I used to have torana taillights too, horrible stuff. The 80's bought some silly stuff to beetles, was awkward looking...
