WTB. Engine vent trims for 1303 beetle
dubster - April 2nd, 2012 at 08:45 PM

Hi, I'm looking to buy engine vent trims for my 1303 beetle.
Does anyone know where I can locate a set ? Or does anyone know of someone with a spare set ? If so please contact me.

Thanx Dubster

Is it this model deck lid (incorrect on my oval)? If so, I am selling my chrome grills.

Cheers

Craig

the two in the pic are off a SUPER BUG or 1500 beetle.

that black beetle looks great.. 1971 tail lamps 1971 engine lid

They still make em :).

Here you go Zane:

decklid trim: http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC-C10-3349
under window trim: http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC-C10-3347

just be aware that postage will be rich, but if you buy a bulk load it ends up good value. :tu:

be aware there are two different sets for 4vent lids too... on one set the outter pair are taller and narrower... but at 20-30 bucks worth the punt i reckon, very fair prices...

That would be the late Brazilian Fusca decklids, not many of them in Aus luckily

Thanks Lee.

It is actually a 54/55, handed to me from my father. He did those modifications back in the 80s (figures!), I am now taking it back to orginal thus selling all the 1500 parts!

not a lot of the lids correct although I have come across a few...

but definately a lot of the vent trims... local suppliers must have got them in in error, part of the wonderful world of aftermarket
