Buy them NEW cheaper in the long run

Plenty of new tail light lenses around but, from my experience, they last around 12 months before they are badly faded. You can try and get some Hella new ones but they are pretty hard to come by.

Good luck with your search.

I find the flat ones last much better

I got a set in late 2009 and they are still fine

Better than others I have purchased

There are 2 different styles in those years.
Which do you need?

72 to early 73 had the old tombstones style

Or early 73 on was the bigger elephants feet lights.

He wants tail lamp and base..
Really mean 73--74 -75 -76 tail lights complete..

OK elephant feet style ,

round sounds better without mentioning any animals..lol

the flat ones, as mentioned are probably better quality than some of the cheaper versions of the originals..

some cheaper versions aren't as bright either..
NOT good when You hit the barkes.. lol

You get what you pay for with the cheap ones.
They discolour so fast it's not funny.

I even saw a seller at one of the shows with cheap ones that didn't even have the metal seperator plate between the sections.
When the brake bulb lights up the whole tail light did, you couldn't tell if it was the brake light flashing or the indicator.

Some of the seperators don't fit too well and keep falling out
also, seperators off one cheaper lense may NOT fit a Hella or others...

I think Hella are just too expensive now...
that is why You can buy special screws that need special bits to undo them... lol

Telling the difference... is the Hard one with so many different makers NOT stamping anything on them... but VW of Mexico makes some crappy parts too...

so, does anyone in Australia sell tail light lenses less than $30 each and recommend them..???
