I got some froma buggy guy in QLD. Maybe volksmod????? Cant remember the name of the place

Make sure you do something with threads drilled into the spacer when going 1inch.. having a wheel bolt or stud going 65mm or so will shear if unlucky...

I had these made up.. can get you a quote if you can't find something online.

vw54 - April 19th, 2012 at 07:27 AM

Yep there nice look well made too

ran5 why do you need spacers ???

ran5 - April 19th, 2012 at 07:29 AM

need them for the volksrod...i am running the type 3 axles and tubes and brakes, and have changed offset of wheels but my tyre is still hitting the body, i dont really want to tub the rear at all if i dont have too.

vw54 - April 19th, 2012 at 09:30 AM

it might be cheaper to re do the off set in the steel wheels

as the maching costs to make nice spacers i think would be more expensive

Or the alternate may be to get narrower tyres

ran5 - April 19th, 2012 at 09:40 AM

i have already had wheels offset, we did it as far as we could.....looking at tyre width i did think that but the edge that is hitting will still hit if i go thinner, as the thickness balloons under that edge, hard to explain..ill take a photo. thinner tyre edge would still be in same or very close to same spot....and to get what id need id have to compromise too much on the tyre choice....i may be able to get around it but coming up an inch in rear ride height..but again...this is a volksrod, and i want it to look a certain way....spacers i would think would be easiest fix, tubbing rear flare area probably the most legal way....

there a few hours work to make a set of spacers hope yr sitting down when you pay the Bill

are you sure nuthing bent have you tried re setting the suspension

Pics would be good

ran5 - April 19th, 2012 at 12:04 PM

Oh nothing is bent. It had 10 cm spacers I've got rid of those. Got maybe 6 cm with offset. Axle and from change. I'm expecting couple hundred for 2 spacers. Am I far off?

12 mm spacers are only $40 a pair..

Those ones i have which machined up, drilled, tapped - come in around $100 for the 25mm flange and around $120/hr to machine up.. close to 250 a pair.

Hurts a little but you know the job is done correct and you wont fail. I wouldn't go near those cip1 25mm spacers.. there is no surface area and the studs have to reach 65mm.. way too much length to be safe.

if you need help making these up drop me a PM. can get them done for you.
