Fake Fuchs
Fastie - May 19th, 2012 at 03:58 PM

After riding around for a year with a spare - I fitted it today and realised it doesn't clear my caliper (modified).

So anyway - if you've just changed your stud pattern to Porsche then this could be the spare for you.

14" - I think it is a 5.5 rim? It has no markings on the back, but does have a 185/50 tyre fitted with enough tread for a spare.

I'm also after a 15" spare tyre for my rim. So if you have something not too nice but not too bad to trade in we could work something out.

$100 pick up only (Fitzroy, Melbourne)

Very Early 911's came with 14inch Fuchs rims I believe.

I had one as a spare before and if you are using standard Beetle Calipers they should clear.

Cheers,

YEp, 14x 5.5 was a 'luxury' package pre '70 911. Grind the caliper to make clearance, you have a genuine Porsche rim if it's 14" and it will fit, the calipers must be a universal replacement that have the larger boss on the side.

I have larger discs and Holden/Falcon calipers , there is no chance for me.
