WTB: 1300 or 1500 or 1600 Beetle engine!

Hi all,

My engine is currently a ticking time bomb and it needs replacing. Does anyone by any chance have a 1300, 1500 or 1600 (or whatever!) lying around that they could help me out with? I'm worried that one day soon I'm just not going to get where I'm headed... and it's my daily drive car... so that's a scary thought! I need a complete set up if it's anything other than a 1500. If it's a 1500 I can use my manifold/carby etc.

I don't mind paying to get something shipped to Brisbane if need be, as long as it's in good condition and won't die on me a month later.

Anybody out there who wants to be my saviour? Please let me know what you have and what price you are chasing for it.

I have a few 1200cc motors, all original. One of them doesn't need much of a going over before it can be put in a Car. It's currently in Brisbane, but will be back with me on the Sunshine Coast soon. I wanted to rebuilt all 3 myself but If you're interested let me know.
