vw54 - May 31st, 2012 at 06:43 PM

Gary

I didnt think you had any, i remember talking with you about them before

VVDS Have fitted the auto up to the IRS chassis and work is progressng rappidly

I have to have some of the bones fused together in my left foot in the next few weeks so hence the conversion to full auto for my daily driver the 65 Smoothie will be much easier on my buggared foot

Marc from Qld will be sending me 2 tomorrow great stuff many thanks i rang a few shops and swap traders i know but no one had any mounts this will make the conversion easier

Nathan GET in the container and find my fuel cap will you :no::crazy::dork::smilegrin:

you have had over 12 months

I didn't use the VW front mount in mine-I had to cut into the torsion bar tube to get the trans forward about 20mm for the engine to seal properly. I used Seagulls suggestion and fabricated a new mount using Toyota 4 wheel drive spring shackle rubbers and Valiant V8 engine mounts for the rear ones. It gives a slightly firmer ride, but I know when I hammer it,the torque is not going to tear the mounts apart.
