69bug - cant answer
Someone on here got one.
Luckily I swapped to R&P before I needed one, but it is hard work trying to find good boxes these days.

its odd that super beetles steering boxes wear out

whereas Non Supers steering boxes virtually last forever if filled with Lithium based Moly grease and kept adjusted..

It does seem odd considering the internals are much the same, but mine wouldn't adjust up right and after puttingt a rebuild kit through it now feels perfect at the straight ahead position but has lots of play at lock.......so i'l stick a second hand one in and play with this box some more.
