I bought some new repro dash knobs and window winder knobs some years ago for my early 60's ghia. They are the three dash knobs (wiper, light and choke) and pair of winder knobs. They will fit beetles as well but are the ghia shape.

These are made by Brezelwerks in the US and are probably the best quality available.

Since buying these, he has expanded his range significantly and I am going to buy a complate set for everything in the car. I'm buying the complete set in case there is a slight colour difference over the years of manufacture.

$100 delivered anywhere in Australia. I effectively paid a lot more than this as the exchange rate was bad at the time.
