you will need 2 hand brake cables

Better off doing both at once as if only 1 done then it strains the other and it will break

Pumba - June 25th, 2012 at 11:03 AM

Handbrake cable i can buy new,i really need the pushrod and clevis i think they call it.

Anything like this. This is from a '59.

Newt - June 26th, 2012 at 12:05 AM

If it is part 20 that you are needing, cut the end off a bolt and taper / round the end.

Second thoughts, I recant my above suggestion.

I need one too, managed to snap an arm off when I removed it - it did require a bit of tender loving force.

HappyDaze - July 29th, 2012 at 09:27 PM

How much time have you spent on here, looking for the push-rod, Shane?.....and how long would it take to make one?

grumble - July 29th, 2012 at 09:36 PM

Shane did you get a pushrod,I saw the early posts and assumed that you had it under control.I am fairly sure there is one on a cluster in the shed,I will check tomorrow. PM if still searching. I could take it to Valla if it is there. Les
