The generator on my 66 beetle recently died. Went to check the brushes which look fine, and saw that the field coil looks crumbly and the wire from one side to the other is shedding insulation. Figured if it's looking that tatty it probably needs replacing or rebuilding. Does anyone in the Brisbane area have a decent one for sale?
