Looking for a hand with tracking down the last few items on my list.
Aiming to make 2012 the (financial) Year of the DreamWeaver
Any leads or info always appreciated

Accessory tail/German rally lenses:

From what I understand, there were a number of companies that made these.
I'm not company specific, just as long as it has the round reflector :D

I also understand there where aussie versions, however I don't know too much about the aussies ones (repro or OG?) and one with any info please ping us a pm ;)

Jokon Reverse/Brake light:

Predominantly after the lights themselves. These where recently reproduced in very small numbers in the US, however proved difficult to track down.
I am looking for either Repro or OG, again any info please send us a pm.

OG Trim Set:

http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/ww139/Tha_B-Funk/WTD3050404.jpg

Chasing the missing pieces to complete a trim set, looking for the slightly tarnish sill pieces predominantly.
The above set is a Volkswagen of America set, so finding the door edge pieces will be tricky.

what model are these from. are the top 2 door flashing trim and i gather the 4 bottom ones are sill moulds.

Type1 US spec beetle, I beleive this specific set came off a 68

The top most pair (with the bend) are door edge trim. Not sure exactly what they're called as I've never seen a set on an bug here.

But when fitted they look like this:

Hi
Never ever seen any of these lights in Australia..
Most cars in South Africa have round reflectors so I wouldn't be surprised if these were from South Africa...
up till a few years ago, ALL Rally cars in South Africa had to be fitted with round red reflectors ..
I have seen pics of them added to rear fenders/guards..

haven't seen those reversing lights either in Australia..
only the single light under the license plate..
but I don;t believe they were ever sold in Australia

VW Accessories weren't a big selling point in Australia..
whether they even tried to sell accessories???

LEE

How'd ya go Adam? Very keen

Yep I agree Lee, the Australian market was a conservative one. Visors & venetians and If your luck a wind deflector. However a twin carb set was developed in Clayton but never made the market due to having no market. BUT you never know what your fellow dubbers have tucked away in there shelds, or know people, who know who have what your after ;)
Even then some times you've turned the net upside down, found someone thats got what you want on the other side of the world, pay an arm an a leg and then...... your mate turns to you and says, "why didn't you say anything, I got what you want right here" :starhit:

Re: Jokon reverse light(s) (I've now got, which ended up coming from the US) where originally made and sold in Germany & Austria.
The tail lens where made by Jokon & Gabel in the early to mid 60's for the european market. Only read a rumor about these tail lenes (repros I believe) being sold here, hadn't had it confirmed as yet.
