F/S QLD 1916cc longblock (SOLD)

I have my 1916cc out of my drag bug for sale.... In reality with the 10:1 compression and Rods race heads on it its strictly a race motor unless you lower the comp and change the heads.

The carbs and zorst are both sold, so basically you'll get a 1916cc longblock.

Cb cromo c/w 8 dowell crank
148a tighe grind cam
stock shot peened and balanced rods
lightweight flywheel
94mm forged mahle pistons and barrels
cb cromo headstuds
cb cromo push rods
scat triple o-ring pushrod tubes
stock rockers
kennedy stage 1 pressure plate w/ daikin disk
Cb thin line deep sump
full flow oiling

The whole rotating assembly was balanced by crankshaft engineering.

Heads are heavily welded and ported vw heads 42x37.5 w/dual valve springs. The ports are massive.

The as41 case had a crack in it which has been very sucessfuly repaired and has not leaked a drop after 3 big race meets and countless hours of testing and tuning.

Dave richardson put alot of hours into this engine, its not just thrown together... He built it on advice and help from the best builders around. It is a VERY solid motor.

It ran a best of 8.9 this year at warwick with what we think may have been a pretty fat tune due to the air up there, its probably got a little more in it. It has never been dynoed but the wallace calculator puts it at about 100hp at the wheels.

If you were to change heads and lower the compression a little it woud make a ripper street motor.

I think its worth at least 3k with the heads or we'll rip the heads off and send them back to Rodney and you can take the rest for 2.5k

Can hear running in the car anytime....

PS: I just did the sums on the parts i put into the shortblock (no heads) and it came to over 2k from the states not including the case.. and thats not assembled "properly".

The crack was where the oil cooler bolts on, it was cracked at the base of the mounting block... what Dave did was take a bolt, cut it to the correct length, drill the centre out, drill a hole on the side at the bottom making like an L shape galley, then this was sealed inside the the oil outlet by tapping a thread into it. Using a very high grade hydraulic sealent, the oil galley was then pressurised to push the sealent into the crack from the inside.... the outside of the case was then cut into a V where the crack was and Devcon was used to seal it from the outside... So essentially Dave created a new oil galley. No oil actually passes by the cracked part anymore. Very smart thinkng and execution on his part!
