I have purchased these 2 items and they do not fit my '73 1300 beetle so selling to try and get back some of my costs.
Electronic Ignition says it fits standard VW distributor, But doesn't fit my Dizzy

so neither of these.

Page 12 on the link above has a list of everything it will fit..I think i just lucked out on the 2 dizzy's I have.
and if I kept on buying dizzy's to try and find one to fit my wife will kill me.. lol.
cheers for the link looking at some for the split but looks like may not fit mine either. I'll check my dizzy tomorrow.
The 73-76 distributors with the shorty caps can;t fit electronic ignition becuase of the points post being part of the base plate, they use the GB529
points.
I think we only got them here is Aus and in some parts of Europe which is why the American market doesnt know about them.
That other dissy would be an early single port vac only one with the huge vac can.
No good for a late model engine.
