Going cheap
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/VW-COUNTRY-BUGGY_W0QQitemZ280362199111QQcmdZViewItemQQ...
I saw that this morning early, but didn't get a comment posted.
The ad says "RING GRAHAM".
Could this be our own highly regarded Gallery curator???
Regards,
Steve
No Steve its not me, I'm probably 6-700klm further north
Graham,
Ok....wild guess on my part.
We need to find out the KO #.
Care to do the honors as far as questioning the seller???
Regards,
Steve
This vehicle( or whats left of it) is in Singelton NSW. I had a call from Graham before he posted it on Ebay. He wanted to know if it was worthwhile
putting on Ebay as he does not expect to get a lot of bids or a lot of money for it. He wanted to give someone the opportunity of acquiring the
vehicle ( or whats left of it) before it went to the crusher.
He did impress on my how bad the vehicle ( or whats left of it) was and said I needed to see the photos to reassure myself he was not telling lies.
The photos did not lie about the vehicle ( or whats left of it.)
He agreed he would post on Ebay and see what happens.
He does not know the KO number and said he would not bother trying to find one whilst the vehicle ( or whats left of it) was upside down on the back
of the truck.

easy resto for someone with the right skills !!
Well....at least there's a bid now....and no reserve is mentioned in the ad.
It's at 50.00AUD.
At least maybe maybe it won't go to the crusher......and we may yet find out what the KO is.
That looks in about the same condition of one I took to ther dump when I picked up Jaffa. I got the deal only if I removed 'the one in the paddock'. I tried to winch it onto the trailer and it pulled in two! Salvaged the rear drive and the front end and took the rest to the dump!
Looks like there is now a bidding war.......it's up to $51 AUD!!!
There are over 20 registered users watching this item whether it be for the fun of it or maybe they are future bidders.
Took a long while to get the extra $1

Well done to that buyer. You are a truly dedicated CB rescuer. (possibly the craziest of us all) It was too rough for me.
Cheers
Tony
that buyer would be me. ill probably post up some pictures when i get it home and post up the KO number if i can find it.
Front and rear bumper bars, winch, speedo pod plus the possibility of other unknown bits.
Good buying I reckon.
I look forward to seeing if there is enough metal left behind to locate the KO.
Well done.

Thanks Dilbert, I look forward to adding the KO number to the CB Gallery.
Cheers
Graham
where should i look, when i get it, for a KO number?
This is the KO number. Its a plate inside the bonnet area between the fuel tank and the back of the dash.
Any pics you have can be emailed to me at vwnuts@bigpond.com
and I'll add them the the Country Buggy Gallery
thanks 11CAB i should be picking it up on sunday if all goes to plan. ill post up a thread and give what details i can and email you some photos.
Im sure ill have plenty of questions to ask when i get started working on it. Know alot about Beetles and 356's but not much else.
A country buggy is just a square convertible beetle...
with no doors.
And difficult to get hold of Type 2 running gear.
