The plywood CB project "Home Built Country Buggy" thread got me to nosing around in The Samba Gallery.
I noted CB pics taken at Rose City Bug In appear to be a CB I have knowledge of, but it original location in the Bay area of CA with CA plates and it
current display of Washington State plates leave me confused and mystified.
From the new pics at the show and old pics of Erich Kircher's (deceased) KO 519, I'd swear on a bible this is the same CB.
Bill, do you have any knowledge of this CB changing hands here in the US??? Anyone else know what the deal is with this CB???

Erich Kircher, KO 519:
wow.. excellent pics..
condition as new.... lol
are the bumpers solid ??
I've always wondered why they didn't just use round steel hollow pipe??
as it was supposed to be made from basic materials...

Steve,
I think this is KO 0519, the one from CA you were talking about. Maybe Wendy has moved to WA as it was only 6 weeks ago I was in email exchange with
her re the CB which she was holding on to.
The gloss paint is the key here. This was originally painted in Pink when the vehicle left Australia.

I'd say its KO 519 as well
Well, the two Cardinals of the Church of The Country Buggy concur, so maybe my gut observation as a lowly parishioner, might be right,
Still my main focus is: has KO 519 been sold, or has Wendy relocated?
Inquisitive types have to know these things......especially here in the US where CBs can be counted on two hands.
Cardinal Bill, you should counsel with W. Kircher....perhaps she hasn't been to confession for a while......

Steve in Hoosierland
so was this the pink one that Steve muller sold about 5 years ago ?
Craig,
Yeah, you nailed it!!!
I'll round up some before and after pics and try to post maybe tomorrow......it's 8:45 pm here and I'm not worth a tinkers damn after 9 pm
Regards,
Steve
Well I'm too slow once again.......
First i get beaten to building the first plywood CB........then Graham beats me to the punch posting the pics!!!

Guys,
Take note- the lady is Wendy and she rebuilds motors just as well as you blokes do. She pulled part the Pink Lady engine and rebuilt it whilst her
husband, Erich, worked on the the panel and paint.
She owns the car and is keeping it despite losing her husband to the Big "C" some 6 or so months ago. I think she also has a very nice Split Window
sunroof Beetle.

Erich Kircher passed away Nov 12, 2008.
The restoration was finished before he died, so he got some enjoyment out of it in the midst of his health crisis.
