I restored the body on this one around 12 years or so ago and its almost finished now, this buggy is owned by vernan mckay in QLD, he has been very
fustidious in rebuilding this one, still 6v as well, it does need the original exhaust though in my opinion.
PS i think he may have thought this was 439 until i pointed out its and 8 instead of 3.

What a great job Looks like the bar is getting lifted all the time, hope I can do half the job that has been done on this one. Art
Thanks for the pics Steve, I've added them to the Gallery
Cheers

Definitely needs the proper exhaust, looks a bit cheap like it is - unlike the exotic beasts that they are..

I like the stubby little chrome tips, looks like a Greek statue.
Very nice looking CB.
Any more pics available?
Is that an original color???
It looks a little lighter than the green OEM color to me.
12 years, eh?
A real labor of love.....and persistence.
pretty sure the original color of it was beige but vern did try to pick an original vw color to redo it with, i can try and take more pics another day, vern didnt want me to take these pics as its still dusty and not clean yet.
More pics would be great.
This paint job.....looks to be very well done.....but it appears to be much lighter..I'm not being critical.....just making a observation.....not the
deeper green of the following examples. Mr. Moore's is original I believe.
