Over the years I have seen a number of different sized and shaped hardtops made for the CB, many of which appear to have been manufactured as though they came from the factory.
With all the documentation I have seen and in discussions with ex factory employees I can still only find reference to a fibreglass hardtop that was factory stamped and sold as an accessory. It is listed in the spare parts manual.
Two weeks ago I came across another metal hardtop that was manufactured by Canopy Industries and again it looks like a factory accessory/option but is not stamped VW but Canopy Industries.
Attached is a photo including the metal doors and what looks like a spoiler at the rear.
Has anyone seen this type of hardtop before. I am interested in getting feedback.
