Good things are happening everywhere

All over Oz there are good things happening to Country Buggies. There are plenty of restorations underway and, as usual, some of these can be considered long term projects.
There are also a number of parked up vehicles that have been in storage for over 20 years that are owned by "gunnas" that one day might see the light of day.
There are also many "doers" and by that I mean people who start a project and see it right through to completion without getting distracted by other events around them.
The CB in the attached photos is owned by a "doer" and he has spent a significant amount of time in getting his CB to meet his requirements . He has undertaken panel fabrications including sills, heater channels and replaced both pan halves based on a limited amount of welding experience and no metal fabrication experience. His recently gained knowledge of panel beating and spray painting was another major achievement together with a total rebuilt of every brake and brake line component.
Some of the work has been completed by the more experienced folks around including a rebuilt front end ( thanks to Tony Beven), and a trimmer who worked on seats and side curtains.
The motor was a different story. It is a 1600cc single port purchased from the Country Fire Authority in Victoria and has 92 hours total run time. Everything is 12v and a smart set of Rossi lenses dress the front of the vehicle as well as factory fibreglass roof.
There are a few additional creature comforts included in the vehicle such as a rear seat ( not factory ) and a lockable rear stainless carry box. Everything was designed and built to be easily removed and returned to original.
It is now a special purpose built CB to be used frequently around the farm property.
Now Linsday can get on an restore the one of the other CBs that he has and do it back to original condition. He has a few standing line in line to choose from
Betcha that wont take very long either.
