new cb owner

Hi CB owners
i am the proud owner of a road going rego'd country buggy ko498 from memory will check and confirm.I am not new to vws current owner of a 1961 split d/cab and a 1954 beetle both in resto process love the good old air cooled VWs just acquired a factory hard top very rare and hard to find.
I have problem with a broken/cracked rhs spring plate are they a split kombi plate or ???????????? will post some pics soon

Mate nice garage.... 54 oval, splitty ute and a cb, lucky man !

I believe the cb spring plates are split kombi but others here will be 100% sure

Good to see another Country Buggy pop up. I dont have any pics of KO 498, so if you could post some up that would be great.

Hi, another CB, good stuff.
The spring plates are beetle. Parts book says 111 511 205A. They do have a 4th hole drilled in them however. You’ll have to do that. They are available new, I expect this is the one http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VWC-111-511-205-B  Beetle 61 to 68. Probably available in Australia, try some of the advertisers on this forum.
