Hey Guys!
I'm heading over to Europe for 2 months very soon and my poor little Bug will be staying home alone.
I was wondering if there was anything I should do with/to him to keep him in good shape while I'm away.
Will I need to empty the tank or anything like that?

You're only going for 2 months, if it were 2 years perhaps.
Disconnect your battery.
Is it going to be parked under cover or left in the elements??
If it is going to be left out in the weather, I would get some one to move it once a week.
I have had brake pads lock up in under 2 months of being left in the weather
I'm hopeful that I can clean out our garage and park it up in there but there's a chance it might not fit since the garage on our house is absurdly
tiny. And even then it's not the most protective garage and has a fair few panels missing from the walls.
I'd also be fairly hesitant letting any of my housemates drive/move it. As we're all aware, driving a 40 year old car is a bit different than
driving something made in the last 10 years and I'm not sure how well they'd handle it, especially with the gearbox being a bit like a stick in a
sack of marbles. The last thing I want is to come home to a car with panel damage.
Try to get it in the garage, if you can. It needs to be out of sight, otherwise Chris Fabo might spot it.
yes, in the garage will be best and like ash said disconnect the battery,
also before you roll it in go and pump the tyres up as they always seem to go flat when home alone
lock it up, shut the garage and enjoy your trip!

And take the keys with you, your flat mates might not be able to fight the compulsion to take it for a drive!
It will be fine, mine was parked up in Mum and Dad's driveway for 9 months without issue.
The things sit in a shed for 40 yrs + and all you need to do is add fuel and battery!!
