I have a 70's beetle, if I put a 69 shell (only) on the pan all rest will be from the 70 put back in, what year would it be and do I need to notify the road traffic department of the change as its still got rego? Thanks in advance.

its still a 1970 as the chassis number is still the same..

thats all they go on...

local had 1965 on 1976 chassis.. lol

other bit was a 1976 body on a 1965 chassis.. lol

Cmon H its either a 69 or not a 69 don't think you can add a 1/2 to it
