I am about to get back into the restoration of my 71 super after a 2 year sabbatical (you know building new house, doing garden etc. etc.)

I really want a sunroof in the car , but think that shipping a steel roof clip with the wind back style is too expensive and complicated from the US.

The foldback style is what I really want, but everytime one appears on eBay, I am reluctant to take out the 3rd mortgage to buy it.

But, on the Samba today, i saw these:

I saw an add for a fiberglass sunroof kit somewhere recently for a beetle..
in the USA.. I think,,

I didn't go and have a good look.. so don't know what it was like..

I just knew that the roof has to be reinforced around the edge of the hole in the roof.. was thinking that was fiberglass..??
