1970 VW Beetle - Front Seats Won't Slide/ Adjust

Hi All,
Just about finished the refurb and have reinstalled front seats (these are the originals) . Have had to have them out twice now to try to get them to slide without success. Cleaned off tracks etc, tried some lub but still can't get them to slide successfully.

Does the '70 have guides that need to be fitted or perhaps an assisting spring or something? Can't remember either of these 2 items having been there in the first place but come to think of it I can't remember if the seats actually moved before I started either. Did have some issues getting them out but managed it

Any advice appreciated

yeah there should be a plastic bush that clips on the the runner.

Should be an assist spring to help them move forward too. Clean and lube the runners with a dry lube stick.

Thanks guys, Can't say I've ever seen either of these 2 items before now !! Any chance of a photo or guidence as to where I might be able to find what I need.

Looks like an "L" rail to me. I saw the ones at justcampers but discounted them becaus ethey were from '71 onwards.

I'll keep looking though still welcome any suggestions or guidence.
