Jacking up do's and don'ts + paint
BlasterTheRedBajaBug - December 30th, 2016 at 12:46 PM

Hi All'
I am at the stage of jacking up Blaster and wanted to know the do's and don'ts and where exactly the jacking points are it is a '69 pan under a c.'67 body (If you need that info). I have a good pan so I don't want to damage it.
Next question is I have 3 different colours in mind and want the most "WOW" colour, they are Soul Red seen on most mazda 3's, Celestial Blue on mazda 3's or a aubergine purple on lotus exsige's.
Thanks in advance.

Hi

Unless you plan never to scratch your car, steer clear of pearls and metallics.

My son just had his wheels painted in Mazda Soul Red, its a very hard colour to get right.

Are you going to use your baja as a baja?

Do it in a solid VW colour

BlasterTheRedBajaBug - December 31st, 2016 at 10:27 AM

No he is going to be a 99% street car but with off-road capabilities and looks and maybe once or twice in the sand with my uncle and cousins who all have manxters and manxs'

I would still go a solid colour

my opinion only ................ but metal flake baja's look wrong

I am still thinking Aubergine Purple over the two other really shiny ones as I just found out how much they are.

What and Lotus Eggplant will be cheaper?

BlasterTheRedBajaBug - December 31st, 2016 at 04:04 PM

Yes by about $800 because it is pearl not metallic or metal flake.
