Running board rubbers

Can someone tell me with the Australian production , did the running board rubber on aussie cars not change from earlier bugs to the last of the bugs produced here.

Was needing to replace one side and could not find the same style , most seem to sell a rubber which then leaves a gap
between end of board and fenders.

Found this one below which is the only one that will match mine and has the end lip which will sit next to the fender and not leave a gap.

Fitted a pair [they are sold in pairs] to my '54, and they fit like the originals...no gaps.

The ends are 'plain' like the originals, as well. :tu:

I bought mine from Wolfsburg West. You could be in luck, Neil...I have a passenger side rubber! :yes:

Thanks Greg , installed today , perfect match to the other side which is almost 50 years old.
Looks much better with the lips.
Was an easy job to replace.
