Ok guys, heres a question for you purists out there!!
Take a look at this video, Take note of the red coil sticker (correct way up) as apposed to the usual yellow one we see (which is 'correct' when it
is upside down)
Good to see I have the correct unpainted coil & bracket as the picture below is of my engine but did the Aussie & Kiwi beetles have a red
sticker??
Also note the grey/green HT leads
So what years was this "Correct" for us here as our Aussie/kiwi Beetles were quite unique in the world from 1965 on so I wouldn't mind preserving
mine as it should be, a bit anal I know but there are some out there that will fully understand & even know the correct answer to this!

Hi Vonripsnorter, I believe they did have a red sticker! If you go to youtube look up The Shape of Quality part 3
you will see the assembly of the motor not to far in to the film. GREAT FOOTAGE BY THE WAY! i think it is circa 66-67.
