Righto girls and boys iv got a bit of a query for you, need a so called rag top for a sper bug, now first of all how do you identify if its original or if its been added later its the type that is set into the centre of the roof with a slide down each side and a latch in the front. i have sen a few bugs around on the net with this type of set up on them but have no idea where to get the replacement canvas for it.

any one got any ideas????

oh on the front piece of come mounted the bod there is a stap which ays slide awa, haven had any luck with that lead but to somebody on here it might mean somehing

Most likely Britax brand roof. The vinyl is simply 'tonneau' material used on every Holden ute since the 1960s. And as it is not 'moulded' in any way any motor trimmer should be able to replicate/replace

if it has a plastic handle odds on it is a Britax (after market)

If it has a chrome lever with Golde on it then it is an original VW rag

But i dont believe Supers in Aust ever came with Golde rags
The States i believe got Golde steel slides

no handles, top or locking mechanism fitted, just the gaping hole in the roof where it should be
