I dont know if anybody out there can offer advice or help with my dilemma.
I bought a 73 superbug about 8 months ago with the intention of partially rebuilding & then letting a local mechanic finish the job for me to get
the car roadworthy, but due to work & other projects, its just not happening. The car is for the OH, and I would really love to get it on the road
in the next 2-3 months if thats possible. My problem is that I have really no idea about cars, and I need to organize all the parts for the mechanic
to get the car on the road. I have tried to make the time to look, but I just get more confused the more I look.
I there anybody out there that would be interested in having a look at the car, pointing me in the right direction for parts? Otherwise i'm afraid
that the car will still be sat there in another 6 months time, which all of you will agree is a criminal shame !
I already have new carpets & battery. It needs new rubbers all around and either an engine rebuild or new engine but thats all I know.
I would be more than happy to pay somebody for their time in beer/wine/spirits or cash for a bit of their time & knowledge.
I'm in Monbulk in the Dandenongs so not exactly in the city, but hopefully somebody out there can help in my dillemma.

It has given me plenty to organize over the next couple of weeks, but at least I now have some sort of idea where to start, and who to talk to.

I popped into Aussie VW performance on Saturday morning and got the first list of parts ordered. Hopefully in about a week the project can begin in
earnest, then i'm sure i'll be asking all sorts of dumb ass questions
