Generator to Alternator

Hi Guys.
Just got a new alternator to replace my dead old generator.Wiring is a bit different,thought i might open this thread just in case i have any questions or need help.
Would be great for some support.

ah ok.The alternator that i got has a built in regulator ,i have heard this is quite common and
people somehow splice a certain wire to another wire and hey presto.by passing the reg under
the seat.
Would anyone be able to clarify that for me.

you have probally picked up on it already but if you go to the topic activity tab at the top of the page you will see that some one else is asking the same question, there are a couple of good diagrams there mate, should sort your problem out

If you have J-pipes you need to plug that right hand heater outlet being right up north, or if you still have heaterboxes refit the heater hoses, even if you dont use the heaters.
its an important but frequently overlooked part of the cooling system

Hi Joel.
Oh ok, i did not know that.I do have j-pipes,we did that a while back when i had my old coil and it was getting to hot.It stopped when we unblocked that side.But now i have new coil,it should be fine.
