A pic would be the best way. There are plenty of people here who can tell the subtle differences.

From that photo it could be from '64 to '67 need more photos to get closer than that. can you get the chassis number?
It sure is a project, Hope it's cheap!!
yep whats the chassis number under the back seat ???
ther eare proberly around 500 differences in those years models
What do you want to do with the car ???
Yes
that looks like a 1964=67 model beetle from the pic
wide front blinkers 1964>67
holes in the front valance also 1964>67
so, it had the large over rider bumpers too..

We're looking at paying about $400- $500 for it, It has no motor that we know of, Hoping to revive her again, as a slow project that we can work on.. interior is complete, although passengers side seat needs to be recovered. Would like to keep it yellow. Apparently its been sitting in the shed, stored away for years now. Thinks it's worth it?? can anyone else see potential? My husband has already built His car, and complete motor change and re-spray, but this will be our first vintage car to work on..
how did you go ?
did you get it,did you find out what year it is ?
yeah was an intresting one got told there was only serface rust on the important parts like the floor and air ducts so wethouhgt ok can't bee too bad got the and the floor and air ducts crumpeled under your hands i think it i moved it the floor wold of fallen out of the car it was that bad so we didn't get it got one that pretty much only needs a quarter of the floor replaced rust wise .. so should be good will have to put pics up soon. think it was a 65 model .. may be good for parts down the line but only if i can get it cheap as chips
