My new project
my 76 bay - November 2nd, 2011 at 06:55 PM

Hi everyone, I bought this 1962 beetle from a garage sale in my home town of Natimuk on sunday. My plans are to get the beetle on the road and then get back on to my bay window camper.

This is what I have been doing over the school holidays, as well as a trip to Bendigo Volksclub's Easter Extravaganza. Pulled the front beam out of the beetle. Prep'd and painted, here are a few pics....

Rusty AKA my 76 bay - October 18th, 2012 at 04:14 PM

Bit of an update... have been sanding doors and bonnet and have given the floor pan a clean. Left hand side door has had repairs previously but isn't in bad condition.
Right hand side door is quite good and doesn't have any evidence of repairs. The bonnet has previously had one repair but overall is quite good. Floor pan is nearly clean and coming up well.
Hopefully shouldn't be long and I should be getting some body panels in primer.

left hand door..
