Saggy rear end
BlueFlipper - April 29th, 2012 at 09:12 PM

Hi. Last month I bought my first beetle - a 75 superbug.
Overall its in great nick but the rear suspension is quite sagged relative to the front.
I've read about resetting torsion bars which sounds a lot of effort.
Has anyone tried a coil-over shock instead?
Thanks in advance,

its not THAT much work
A few bushes and a couple of hours work

Coil overs put stress on the wrong spots - where it wasnt intended to go

Do it properly, lower the front a bit and you will have a great looking 75

This is the same as my beetle

Where abouts are you located??

Have a look here and see what you think. You can raise the rear, or lower the front.

Thanks for that info.
Lowering the front instead looks like a good move - that's a really helpful post.
I'm in Port Melbourne.
