hi all im hoping that you guys can guide me in setting up my 56 so it can handel/ stop and go? will start getting parts and putting them aside to do a full on rebuild.

i want to stay wide 5 and will run disc`s want to lower it but not sure if just go with drop spindels?as iwant a car that can go around corners ect, so does that mean not a narrowed beam? and run slightly wider guards, front and rear for wider rims and tyres.

the motor thats in her at the moment is a 1500 single port but has the stock tranny. so what tranny would you recomend to fit, and what to do so to make a swing axel rear end work better ie sway bars, camber things? sorry for the long post . but its great sites like this for vdub freaks .

note im off to taiwan end of the monthe and hope to drop into vintage spares, if any one needs some small item from there ill see what i can do
