Hi all, I thought I would show everyone my work so far on my 1967 Deluxe Beetle. Slow and steady wins the race for me. I’m not looking to finish this tomorrow but want to have an end result that I will be proud of.

This photo is the first photo we took, in the garage of the old owners....lol

started on the panels first, as we stripped the shell and it looks like its had a hard hit in its life, big side cut and shut, plus a lot of panel bashing..would have to use to much body filler for my liking...hance the reason for the hunt for a new shell.

The first shade of colour...Acrylic paint, forgiving but so much rubbing and buffing...i am no painter but after hrs of work just on this panel, its all worth it.

not much more to show right now, just about finished the other guard and have painted the front bonnet. Im sure lot of hrs rubbing on the bonnet once ready. I wait 2 weeks after the first 3-4 coats then 1 month after the final coats before i cut back ready to buff...some might say why so long..to let the paint settle. dont realy care how long it takes, as long as it looks good and i can do it myself.
