Hi guys,
I've been appointed the job of finding a splitty as a wedding car for our big day, either Saturday 6th or 13th of February 2010 in Brisbane (still to
be confirmed)
We would prefer a restored one - we picked the splitty as it is the favourite vehicle for both of us. My brother should be following the splitty in my
'76 Bug and there will be a number of watercooled dubs following from my family
Please send me a message if you can help! I remember the kombi shop down at Gold Coast used to offer this service?
Cheers,
Alex
uh oh - not as easy as I first thought. we've got a generous budget set aside for the right bus!
Mate, I dont own one personally, But I often see one at the homemaker center at jindalee (also called homebase... its where the macca's is off the
highway - on the round-about). Its light blue / white. Im not aware of who owns it but i guess if you went there, knew your date and had a decent
offer, maybe they would concider driving you for the day. just a suggestion.
Its the only one iv seen locally.

Hi guys, thanks for helping out - I've been overseas but I'm glad to have found something.
Judy I remember you and your black beetle (I'm the asian guy with the poodles in the old red bug, sold 3 yrs ago)- not worried that coming from
Byron's a bit of a hike? I'll give the local guys a try first but will definitely keep this in mind. Many thanks!
We used this kombi only a couple of months ago, Reasonably priced, Awesome 21 window and he is in brisbane. Let me know if you are interested and i'll PM you his number.
Hi Judy, think I saw your '59 bus on Sunday, were you up this way?
Rawdyn has been very helpful. Gosh, can't believe it's been 6 months already!
I have a restored 65 splitty used regularly in Toowoomba for weddings and formals if you can't find any local ones. My no. is 0407029728. Give us a
call and can email photoes.
