newcastle sea blue splitty

Hi All,
Was in Newcastle CBD today and saw a beautiful sea blue/blue white splitty, which is a colour match for my 1964 Karmann Ghia. It had a 2009 VW
Nationals card on the windscreen. Anyone know who owns this vehicle and whether they want to sell it?
PS: Number plate was SAMBA1

Looks even better in the metal. I was driving and pulled over when I noticed it. Spent the next 10 minutes drooling over it.

That would seem a fairly obvious statement. I don't pretend to be a splitty aficionado as my interest has always been in ghias. To me the vehicle
looked in pretty good nick, although I did not look inside or under the vehicle. Are you aware of any particular problem with it or were you just
making a random statement?

in the picture it looks very ripply around the side windows?Has it had the top from a 23 window welded in?Maybe its had a roll?
devon57 - September 9th, 2009 at 07:40 AM
nah wasn't rolled, just know a previous owner and the reasons it has been sold so many times

rexy has spotted it
i think you will find the guessing game is how many windows did it have when the bus rolled off the assembly line.

Its a shame people go through all that effort and do a crap job of it, if it was done right not many people would have known!
