Hey will. She came from way back upper natone. Also unfortunately she isn't PMG. Its just some daggy paint previous owners put on it. Thats long gone
now. I'm having a trouble with my camera so I cant post pics. I have got rid of the daggy paint and had about 200 attempts to start her. I will be
dropping the engine tomorrow night. Eventually a full rebuild.
BTW Thanks H!
More pics soon
Joel.
Sorry about the poor quality, Were taken on the video camera.
I took the carby off for a good clean out, I was suspicious of the needle and seat but all was good.

It would be interesting to see how many lowlight dd there are?
Hey thanks mate. Thats awesome. Sometimes I wish mine was an early Lowlight. But I do appreciate IRS .
Do you have any photos?
Tracked down a nice carby today.
Kombi Vs Clipper. What would you take?

No contest, the Clipper!
Haha just dont say that to my dad

Have a look at my new carbby.
Stromberg, Off a 138 Grey motor.
I have a rebuild kit for it and am going to put in an adjustable main jet.
Luvn dis bus mate
Hey thanks mate.
Haven't been up to much lately. New update coming soon
Rebuilt the stromberg carby and got it on.
Runs beautifully now
Yes the fuel lines look dicky, They are only temporary lol.
I wanted to see how it ran with the carby before I spend a fortune on stainless lines.
Stromberg why not . love all the busses in the lineup. BTW where are you ? Brisbane? Mitchell
Hey, Thanks mate.
No Im in Tassie.
The strommie is really responsive. Also it idles very well. The old solex would not idle at ALL.
Bought new leads today, PLanning to put in new plugs, Adjust tappets, points, timing and mount the 1800 box tomorrow. Have the day off work
hey mate.
Nice find with your kombi.I personally prefer the kombi over the clipper but that's just me lol.
My dad recently bought a low-light without knowing it,it wasn't until we had a look around that we discovered it was a lowlight.
if i remember i will put some pictures up.
tassie hey, cool i lived in tassie for 3 years beautiful place.Where abouts are you?
Hey Thanks mate, I think I do to
lol serious? Did it have a later front end? Good to hear the families getting into kombis.
Yes its a beautiful place. I live up the north West, in a small beach town called somerset.
Where abouts did you live?
Just stripped down the 1600, Found broken tinware and a very dodgy extractor system.
Ill post up the pics in a minute.
Well, when we had a look around on forums and stuff
we recognized it by the indicators being below the headlights and i big rap-around bullbar with step.I dont know how else to tell them apart
really.
Because they are not really stamp as lowlight its just a nickname isnt it? Oh ok we lived on the west coast in Queenstown.
Cheers
yes the indicator really are easiest way of telling. Also just litltle things like the dash.
Pre 72 Lowlights will have the small oval splitty taillights.
well that is an interesting thing to know,i didnt know any other things to look out for.
