I love my 1976 2.0 VW kombi. I've spent 1000's on it. I'm located in Bondi Beach. It's in midnight blue with chrome grills, chrome bar etc. Basically, I had a restored engine put in it in 2007 by what I was told was a reputable Sydney based VW restorer-no names. I was on a christmas trip to Byron Bay and the kombi broke down. Luckily I was in South West Rocks and had the pleasure of meeting a mechanic Pete Richard's. He got her going again and I managed to get back to Sydney. However, having the patch up by Pete was only temporary. I now have been reliably informed I need a new 2.0 L engine. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I really don't want to sell my kombi (as you can imagine my girlfriend is right on my case about it). Please help
