So I tried the new VW daily thing for awhile but it was boring and in the shop more than it was out (2 engines and multiple DSG failures in 30,000km)!
Back to the '60 bug for a daily and decided I wanted another aircooled to share the daily grind...the search for a 60's ghia went for 7 months!
Found a '64 ghia on NZ trade me and took the risk to ship it over...
inside...seats are unfortunately completely knackered
Woot passed qaurantine (most expensive car wash in history thanks AQIS)..
Service records which span from 1969 - 2011  Plus a lovely card from the previous owner to the seller wishing them happy cruising in Carmen
The story is it was a company car (shoe shop), then went to its
second owner where it lived much of its life. Later on its had some interesting repairs and even more interesting 'conversion' to 12v. NZ warrant of
fitness (rwc) looks to be a bit lax haha.
...possibilities...
More pics to come.. lots to go for road worthy!
looks nice
cool..............
