I just got a 68 notch and it keeps jumping out of reverse any info will help thanks I will get photos up soon

Someone put some time into that paint, thats for sure.
kinda cool in its own way, hope you got some HP to back it up :D

Jumping out of reverse is pretty common, couldn't tell you whats wrong with it though. would start by checking your gearbox mounts.

A good starting point is the gearshift bush,engine/transmission mounts and the stick adjustment then it gets heavy as if it is none of these it is inside the box.

all engine mounts ok except for the rear that attaches to the body

the gear shift coupling under the rear seat?? see if the bolts are tight and the rubber is not destryed on it...I got 1 rear eng mt outer plus metal and rod att'mnt

fitting a spare gearbox at the moment as it has been jumping out of reverse for 3 years. thanks for the help

Check the plastic shaft guide inside the tunnel just behind the gearstick.

no amount of bushes or adjustments fixed my jumping gears.

its was stuffed alright. Like a grenade went off inside it.

I wouldn't really know if this could fix it or not, just that it is pretty lightweight and often forgotten since it is so hidden away. Still something to check if you do not know what state it's in.

How I found my box blew when it started jumping 1st. Back end jacked up in N and no hand brake, wheels would not turn by hand.
