Hi all,
I'm on the search for a 70s Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback which is a hardtop with manual transmission. I don't mind what condition it's in - a clean
registered car to an unregistered project - but would prefer it if it at least had most of its relevant body parts (panels, glass and engine). If you
know of any out and about or happen to know someone else who might, it would be fantastic to hear from you.
Looking forward to your replies!
Kind regards,
Lincoln

Hi all,
Still searching if anyone knows of any out and about...
I'm regularly checking websites for them, so if anyone knows of one's which aren't on the web, or perhaps ones which are hidden on a forum
somewhere (or on websites other than eBay, gumtree, just cars or carsales), it'd be great to hear from you.
Cheers
i know of a 68 that will be listed this weekend. 68 was a cross over year so it has the disk break front end and irs rear. this is an extremely nice
car i would buy it if i didn't already have my type 3 build happening.
pm me if your interested and ill out you in contact with the owner.
I saw one advertised on the club vee dub site.
1973 VW Fastback TLA 1600
Hi, My mother has just inherited a 1973 VW Fastback TLA 1600 from a good friend. The lady she inherited it from bought the car new and owned it ever
since. It is very original and just has typical wear for a 40 year old car. I thought a VW enthusiast may be interested in it rather than just putting
it in the classifieds. I will obtain photos and more info if you think someone would be interested. The car is located in Newcastle NSW.

Thanks for the replies. I'll follow those two leads up.
Much appreciated
Hi all,
Unfortunately those two leads fell through , so I'm
still looking.
It'd be great to hear from you if you know of any others out and about.
Many thanks,
Lincoln
have you seen the ones on ebay?
Yeah, I've been checking ebay fairly often, but can only see one on there at the moment that seems a little too beaten up for the asking price...
maybe you should post your budget and what you want? then someone with the right car might come forward or you could find out your expectations are too high!
Good idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
What I'm ideally after is a registered manual 70s fastback with all of its original body panels and little damage to them. The car should be mainly
rust free, and the interior should be in good condition, preferably original. Colour is preferably orange, however I will consider any other colours.
I am also happy to travel interstate.
MY BUDGET is $6k (give or take about $2k)
Of course though, I'm open to suggestions and the car doesn't have to exactly match my description or have to be as expensive as my budget. If there
are any you happen to know about, it'd be great to hear from you.
Cheers,
Lincoln

Hope one pops up for the right price and condition.
Thanks mate,
I'm very envious of your fastback - I'd love to achieve something like that eventually.

Thanks for the suggestions guys,
Unfortunately I'll be going away for several weeks soon, so I won't be able to attend to my vw type 3 situation until I arrive back.
Thanks again!
