I have a contact with an immaculate full set of 70s type 3 square back seats. Honestly look like they were pulled out of a new car and are not
believed to have been recovered. Dirty from storage but not a pull or blemish or tear that I can see. All the adjusting and reclining knobs and trims
are there too. I'm trying to gauge interest at this stage and get an idea what they would be worth so as to convince him to part with them (I don't
own a type 3 so they would just be for sale). Any ideas? They are black high backs in original basket weave vinyl. I would rate them as a 9.5 out of
10 or better.
I see high sale prices for good beetle seats, not sure if there are restorers out there who would seek to fit immaculate originals into their cars.
"Some 70s seats.." What type are they? 70 was still lowback, 71 went to highback, changes in seat base & runners in 73. Are they Basketweave?
if so, what colour?
If the answer to those is lowback, black in colour with the imported basketweave and earlier style seat runners, I'd be interested in the front
ones. Pics would probably help a lot here.
Im interested. got any pics?
I have been looking for NOS basket weave in black. But whole new seats be better.
