I cant wait to get it back on the road...
Its been in the shed since 1990....so 25 years.....
I've never seen it as a panelvan as my old man had it converted to a wagon when he bought it new in 66....(i was only 3 at the time)
So the pics of it now are looking really great....
Cant wait to take the old man for a drive in it when its ready !!!!!
Stunning... Pete you & Clint will have to introduce your cars to each other... they might breed lol

Looks great you should bring it to Boris' picnic day! Good excuse to do another shakedown run.
new tail light lenses on there way (cheers matty)
Taken the old man for a drive?
Love the pvs, I scored one for my brother who sold to my sister who lost interest and sent it to Sims metal, it was the 80s so nobody cared, it was an ex Harris Coffee & teat delivery car
Hey Denver,
The old man doesnt drive any more. Hes 85 and failed the driving test. good thing in some ways, he was getting bad !!!
He reckons he drove me everywhere for the first 16 years of my life so now im repaying the favour...
So when i got it back from Melbourne i picked him up and took him for a spin.
Said he couldnt remember it going this good.. (funny that it was ONLY 50 years ago !!!!)
I need to get a photo of him with it.
That happens Steve
now i have a 72 type 3 wagon sitting around doing nothing....
what about this for my next project.....
Hi Peter,
Did they actually produce the late model Panel Van??? Thought it was only the early models???
Jed
Hey Jed,
as far as i know australia didnt get any.... aaron britcher (the panelvan guru ) may correct me if im wrong...
this would be more rare than the early panel..... wish i could read german !!!!
my list so far
1. complete my early panelvan
2. learn to read german
3. build a late model panelvan
that shouldnt take too long................. its only taken me 25 years to get number 1 half complete.
Boris' Picnic day plans go astray with an oil leak from the under the cooler.
Oh well guess there is always the nationals next year
box arrives in the mail today
it must be xmas
