Hi there could someone please explain how to run 17" brms on my early squareback
I think I need narrowed beam for the front but not 100% sure on this or how to do the rear either
I'd like to go low as possible.
Parts list andHow to do it
Cheers
Any thing is possible, I have 17's on my Ghia but had the wheels made with custom offsets, if you narrow the beam it present more issues than it solves, The front of my Ghia is 17" x 6" and the back is 17' x 7, more than big enough for the car as bigger is not better.
Agree with the above - anything is possible, but get the right wheels for the car - don't modify the suspension to suit the wheel (unless modifying
for improved ride and handling).
At the end of the day it's your car and you can do what you want.
An example of what's possible with the right offset wheel.
These are 17 x 7.5" Porsche Cayenne wheels - very cheap on ebay.

When necessary you can also change the rear axle tubes for shorter beetle ones and this will give you an extra 30mm space.
